Challenge: Exercise with family members and friends outside. Here are some ways that Ms. Milbower gets her exercise. Take a look below!
There are many ways you and your family can get moving! The muddy picture above is picture of the Mud-Stache Race course at Perfect North Slope. These types of races you do have to pay to complete. Ms. Milbower and other staff members here at South Elementary got muddy participating in this activity. "It was a lot of FUN!" Ms. Milbower. There are also Color Runs, inflatable runs, and run where you just simply run. To find out more about races near you click on http://www.runningintheusa.com/Race/List.aspx?State=OH
I make sure I am bundled up and have a walking partner. Walking in the snow is great! For safety I make sure that I am wearing a bright color jacket. I also make sure that I am walking on the sidewalk far from the road.
Running is great at the park. The pond is beautiful and it is peaceful!
Try going hiking or walking at a local park with a family member. Remember 60 minutes of physical activity a day. You can walk, bike, play with neighbors tag, football, Frisbee, hockey, basketball, ext. Get moving!! I enjoy waking and listening to the animals.
For the Spring, Summer, and early Fall Cowan Lake is a great place to visit. Being outside is fabulous! Plan a couple of local trips with your family for the Spring or Summer. Soak up the sun and have some fun!
